SEWING 101 SUMMER WORKSHOP

Get ready for a fun-filled sewing class where campers will learn to create beautiful and useful items with a sewing machine. In this session, we’ll cover how to make a tote bag, pillowcase, and peg doll using pre-cut fabric projects that are ready to sew. For the short or skirt project, campers will cut their own fabric.

We make learning fun and interesting for the kids, encouraging creativity and providing guidance and instructions to help your child achieve their desired project. We provide all the machines and supplies needed, including pre-cut fabric for some of the projects to make the camp go smoother. However, campers will need to bring 1.5 to 2 yards of pre-washed fabric (not knit, denim, or silk) from the quilting section for their skirt or shorts. Choosing fabrics is always a fun project for the kids.

As we work at each child’s learning pace, we can’t guarantee how many projects they will complete during the entire session. However, we guarantee that your child will leave the class with new skills and the confidence to tackle more sewing projects on their own.

Kids can also bring a nut-free snack and drinks to enjoy during the class. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn the art of sewing and create beautiful items to cherish for years to come!
