Our Sewing 101 class runs for a 12 week term, with tuition paid monthly. Students build their sewing skills through hands-on projects and new techniques.

No prior sewing experience is needed for students starting on the first day of the term. An Intro to Sewing lesson is included on the first day to help new students learn the basics and become comfortable using a sewing machine.

New students joining after the first day must have previously completed an Intro to Sewing or Learn to Sew class.

Returning students can continue where they left off and work on projects appropriate for their current skill level.

Students will learn to use a sewing machine, cut patterns and fabric, practice basic hand sewing, and explore techniques for designing and constructing projects. Projects may include crafts, accessories, home décor items, and garments.

We begin with simple projects and gradually introduce more challenging ones. Each project builds on previous skills while teaching new techniques. We work at each student’s pace and learning style to help them build confidence.

Equipment & Materials

  • Sewing machines are provided, or your child may bring their own.
  • Basic sewing supplies and materials for class projects are included in tuition.
  • For dresses or other projects requiring specific fabric or specialty materials, students must provide those items. We will explain what is needed before starting the project.
  • Students may bring their own sewing supplies or materials if they prefer. Tuition remains the same.
  • Projects stay at the studio in a small container assigned to each student, ready for the next class.Thursday

Be sure to sign up - registration closes 3 days and 6 hours before the class's scheduled start time. You have until Monday, February 1, 2027 at 6:45 AM to register.

Tuition, Payment & Cancellation Policy

The term runs for 12 weeks. Tuition is $120 per month, paid monthly.

Your first payment reserves your child’s seat for the first month.

An email reminder will be sent to all families on the 18th of each month. Payment for the following month is due by the 20th. For example, March tuition is due by February 20.

Paying by credit card: Your reminder email will include a payment link. Complete your payment by the 20th to keep your child’s seat.

Paying through Step Up Direct Pay: Use code 321stepupspring at checkout. Reserve funds in EMA within 24 hours of registering and no later than the 20th of the month before. Funds must be reserved separately for each month.

Seats without payment or reserved Step Up funds will be released on the 21st and offered to other students.

All sales are final. Payments are nonrefundable.

A 30 day notice is required to discontinue Sewing 101. Not paying or reserving Step Up funds for the next month does not replace this notice.
