Sewing 101 – Winter & Spring 2026 @ Cocoa Village

Register for our weekly sewing classes.

Get ready for a delightful sewing adventure that blends tradition with a modern twist! Join our FUN and engaging sewing class, where we’re all about building skills in a lively, creative environment.

Students will learn how to use the sewing machine, cut patterns, cut fabric, basic hand sew, as well as other sewing related activities used to design and construct sewing based projects. Projects will be anywhere from craft, accessory, or home décor item and garments. Our projects begin with simple tasks to teach basic skills and gradually become more challenging. Each new project introduces fresh techniques while reinforcing previously learned skills. We work with your child’s pace and learning style.

No sewing experience is needed if your child starts on the first day of the semester—Intro to Sewing is covered during the first class. If your child joins after the semester has already begun, an Intro to Sewing or Learn to Sew class is required.

 Equipment and Materials:

• Machines are provided, or bring your own for added fun!
  Note: If bringing your own machine, be ready to set up and clean up.

• All tools are ready for you.

• A materials list will be emailed to you after registration. You do not need to purchase everything right away — supplies are only needed as projects come up.

• We provide some fabric if needed, but we recommend bringing your own. For larger projects, especially clothing, please bring your preferred fabric.

• Optional Kits: If you don’t have time to shop, we have project kits available for purchase.

• Students will work on their projects at the studio. Each student will have a small container to hold their current project to avoid forgetting projects at home.

  Fee Structure 

  Monthly Tuition: $95
  To register, pay first and last month ($190 total).

  • 30-day notice required if you plan to stop sewing.

  • If continuing, your next bill is due February 1st.

  • The last month you paid rolls over until your child’s final month (whenever that is).

  • You can also pay for the full semester (16 weeks) for $375.

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month.
