Take our Sewing Fundamentals class for adult students.

Sewing Fundamentals is your next step after completing Intro to Sewing, or jump right in if you already have some experience. Whether you’re here to build real skills or just want a hobby that’s all your own, you’ll fit right in. Everyone learns through guided, hands on projects that introduce new techniques step by step.

This isn’t just a class, it’s a community. Some of our students have been with us for months, some for a year, still learning, still growing, still working alongside everyone else in the room, and that’s exactly how it’s meant to work.

Our focus is simple: it’s not just about the finished project. It’s about what you learn while making it.

What to Expect

If you have never sewn before, we highly recommend taking the time to work through our project list. It is not about the project, it is the skills you learn while working on it.

Your first set of projects: Stacked Pillow, then Reversible Boho Bag, then Zipper Pouch.

Your second set of projects moves into working with a commercial pattern: Pajama Pants and Reversible Apron.

After your first project, if you feel ready to work on something of your own choosing, we are more than happy to work with you on that too. Students in each session are often working on different projects at different levels, and that’s expected. Everyone progresses at their own pace.

Sewing Fundamentals has a way of bringing people together. Students come in not knowing anyone and leave with new friendships, real confidence, and a creative community they didn’t know they needed. We work hard to keep it welcoming, supportive, and fun.

Pricing includes instruction and studio access. Use our machines or bring your own, whichever you prefer. Bring your own supplies or use studio materials when provided, pricing stays the same either way.
